Jake Owen Makes Real Life a Party in New Video Debuting 6/27 Exclusively on CMT

Jake Owen is set to debut his video for “Real Life” exclusively with CMT as a part of the “CMT Hot 20 Countdown” airing Saturday, June 27 at 9 a.m. ET, and available at and the CMT Artists app. Prior to its debut on CMT, iHeartMedia will feature several behind-the-scenes teasers from the video shoot, available here.

Owen first performed the summer anthem on the CMT Music Awards, where Billboard ranked him as the #1 BEST performance of the night and Perez Hilton praised, “Jake Owen throws the best real life party on stage.”

Directed by Jeff Venable, the video highlights the natural-born entertainer’s ability to make real life a party, and like the song, doesn’t take itself too seriously. A moving portrait of quirky characters set in real life adventures, the video features an eclectic mix of celebratory shenanigans culminating in every late-night-diner’s dream, a Waffle House dance party. Taking notes from the anthem, Owen included his “Real Life” friends and family—from a cameo from NASCAR star Kevin Harvick to the singer’s hometown friends, twin brother Jerrod and mom.

Hailed as “infectious” by Entertainment Weekly, “Real Life” (Ross Copperman, Shane McAnally, Ashley Gorley and Josh Osborne) is the first single from his upcoming album on RCA Nashville. Marking his fifth studio project, the new album follows DAYS OF GOLD, which delivered the hit title track, PLATINUM-selling #1 smash “Beachin’” and critically acclaimed “What We Ain’t Got.”

“Real Life” is now available here.
