22 Apr MAREN MORRIS TO MAKE TELEVISION DEBUT ON GOOD MORNING AMERICA – MONDAY, APRIL 25
Columbia Nashville singer/songwriter Maren Morris will make her television debut Monday, April 25th on Good Morning America with a performance of her hit song, “My Church,” the lead single off Morris’ forthcoming album HERO out June 3.
Starting today fans can pre-order Morris’ first major label, full length album, HERO, that Morris co-wrote AND co-produced and receive FOUR songs immediately; “My Church,” “80’s Mercedes,” “Drunk Girls Don’t Cry” and “I Wish I Was,” the song that lead to Morris naming her album HERO stating that it’s her “most autobiographical song on the record” adding “I think the message of this record is self acceptance and awareness, and that to me is heroic.”
In addition to the four tracks, beginning May 13 fans who have pre-ordered HERO will receive a FIFTH track, “Rich,” a song that helps kick start the brilliance of HERO being track No. 2 in the albums song sequence.
Morris’ first single for Country radio, “My Church,” set the record for the most chart reporting stations of a debut artist’s first single on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with 107 spinning the song and is the highest charting debut single by a female in Country Aircheck’s Mediabase history.
26 Year-old Maren Morris has quickly established herself with vocal styling’s that reflect her country, folk and pop influences. Armed with sheer talent, honest lyrics and a completely magnetic presence, the Arlington, Texas native was named as one of CMT’s Next Women of Country as well as a CMT Listen Up Artist of 2016, a VEVO Discover Artist, a SiriusXM “Artist To Watch in 2016,” one of Rolling Stone Country’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know,” one of Spotify’s “Spotlight on Country 2016” Artists and many 2016 Watch Lists including USA Today, Billboard, Huffington Post and the Boston Globe to name a few.
Morris will hit the road this summer on Keith Urban’s RipCORD World Tour 2016 beginning June 2 in Kansas City, Kansas.
