“ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn – The Last Rodeo” and the “46th Academy of Country Music Awards” Make Cable Premiere on Great American Country

NASHVILLE, TENN (June 10, 2011) -- Brooks & Dunn are the all-time leading Academy of Country Music award winners and many of their superstar friends paid tribute to them in ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn – The Last Rodeo, an all-star concert tribute taped at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas that will make its cable premiere Monday, June 13, 9:00 p.m./Eastern on Great American Country (GAC).

The special features performances by Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Presenters included Dr. Maya Angelou and actors Miranda Cosgrove and Matthew McConaughey. During the tribute Brooks & Dunn received the Academy’s Milestone Award in recognition of their 20 year career and were honored for holding the most wins (27) of any artist in the Academy’s history. Ticket sales benefited Nashville flood relief efforts through the Academy’s charitable arm, ACM Lifting Lives.

GAC was the only place fans could experience all the excitement of the ACM Awards’ live red carpet arrivals and they can relive the glamour, the clothes, the pre-show observations from artists including Reba, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Sugarland and Martina McBride on ACM Red Carpet Live, Wednesday, June 15, 8:00 p.m./Eastern.

The 46th Academy of Country Music Awards makes its cable broadcast premiere Wednesday, June 15, 9:00 p.m./Eastern on GAC. While it was Reba’s 13th year to host the show, she was joined this year by co-host Blake Shelton. The show includes musical performances by the likes of Dierks Bentley, Alabama, Martina McBride, Reba, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and the Zac Brown Band with guest James Taylor. The event was taped at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
