ELLE KING RELEASES SPIRITED NEW TRACK “TRY JESUS” FROM UPCOMING ALBUM COME GET YOUR WIFE

Listen Here

“Try Jesus” Music Video Directed by Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones)

Watch Here

The road to Elle King’s forthcoming album “Come Get Your Wife,” out January 27 and available for pre-order today, is not one you would find on Google Maps. It’s full of dirt roads from her youth spent in rural Ohio (a nod to that on the album’s opening track), pot holes and bumper-to-bumper traffic on the streets in New York and L.A. and some uncharted routes to London and Nashville.

The new project pulls from all that influence and life lived on the road and the result is a dozen authentic tracks that could be the musical autobiography of her life.  One of those tracks, “Try Jesus,” and the hilariously, ingenious music video are out today (watchhere). Co-written by King, the irreverent but not blasphemous song finds her looking for a more fulfilling relationship since all the guys in her life are letting her down. ‘“Try Jesus’ came at a time I was trying to give my life over to something greater – and you can feel it,” says King. The tongue-in-cheek song is awash in thick gospel choir wail with just enough church organ to witness.

With a song as fresh as “Try Jesus,” the video needed that same sass and fun so King reached out to a co-star of her favorite series to see if she would join for the video. “The Righteous Gemstones is one of my favorite shows and I adore and have a hell-a respect for Edi Patterson who plays Judy Gemstone,” says King. “She responded quickly to my DM and said she would love to work together. She came up with the concept and believe it or not this is her directorial debut!  She’s such a pro and brought this energy, focus and joy to the set and I’m so excited this video is finally out!”

Of the video, Patterson added, “My goal with the concept for this video and for the execution of it was to have an idea that helped Elle feel totally free to be completely gorgeous and wildly funny. Spoiler alert- she’s really, really good at both.”

In addition to “Try Jesus,” with the Oct. 21 pre-order (link here), fans also have access to previously released tracks “Out Yonder,” her current single “Worth A Shot” (featuring Dierks Bentley) and the smash, award winning song “Drunk (And I Don’t Want To Go Home)” with Miranda Lambert. The platinum certified single marked the first female-female collaboration to reach the top spot of Country Airplay chart since 1993!

“This whole album is a crazy quilt of all sorts of moments and things that might not seem to go together, but because they’re me, they do,” says King. “It’s very Southern Ohio, very who we are – and very much a lot of people who are just like me, because I know they’re out there.”

Come Get Your Wife sharpens King’s gaze, digs into her roots, puts her banjo front and center and creates a record that’s as alive and electric as she is. Taking all the pieces – the rock, soul, (blue)grass and country that she loves – she’s made an album that demands your attention, then delivers on all cylinders.

KARLEY SCOTT COLLINS SHARES RETROSPECTIVE NEW TRACK, “BETTER STRANGERS”

Sony Music Nashville singer-songwriter Karley Scott Collins released her latest track today, “Better Strangers.” In the new tune, which the standout newcomer co-wrote with award winning lyricist Liz Rose, Collins dwells on a past relationship she wishes she could overwrite. Listen here

“‘Better Strangers’ was first inspired by a Shakespeare line that really struck a chord with me, ‘I do desire we may be better strangers,’” shared Collins. “After the end of a relationship, there was a time I wished I’d never met that person. Although that heartbreak helped shape who I am today, I still wish I could meet the girl I would’ve been if that relationship never happened. I hope this song connects to anyone who’s ever felt like they lost a part of themselves to a heartbreak.”

With “Better Strangers,” the multifaceted artist continues her tradition of painting her own cover art. “For this song, I wanted to paint a comic version of myself,” said Collins. Watch her create the masterpiece here.

“Better Strangers” follows her latest release, “Tattoos.” Billboard lauded Collins’ “gritty” voice on the “moody, sultry piece,” while CMT called out her “country-rock vocals,” deeming the song a “potential chart-topping hit.” Earlier this year, she dropped her debut offering, “Heavenly,” which Country Swag called “beautiful and poetic” while pointing out Collins “is a true visionary.”

The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who is also signed to Warner Chappell Music, moved from her hometown of Lake City, Florida to Nashville three years ago, armed with words and melodies she’s been collecting and writing for nearly a decade. Collins grew up listening to metal bands such as Guns N’ Roses and Alice in Chains with her dad on her way to elementary school, idolizing Bob Dylan, and immersing herself in novels by the likes of Cormac McCarthy.

Her artistic depth is tempered with youthful wonder and her rich, power-house voice. At their focal points, her songs are diary-ripped lyrics wrapped in lush instrumentation neatly folding in her myriad of wide-ranging influences including The Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Leonard Cohen, and Willie Nelson.

Recently, Collins toured alongside Caitlin Smith, Nate Smith, and Little Big Town. For upcoming tour dates, visitKarleyScottCollins.com.

FOUR-TIME CMA VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR’S TIME, TEQUILA AND THERAPY

NOMINATED FOR CMA ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Old Dominion, multiple 2022 CMA Awards nominees, were surprised by the Arista Nashville/Sony Music Nashville team with the news their Top 10 hit “I Was On A Boat That Day” has achieved RIAA Platinum certification. “I Was On A Boat That Day,” written by OD’s Matthew Ramsey, Brad Tursi, Geoff Sprung, Trevor Rosen and Whit Sellers alongside award-winning songwriters Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, was the lead single from Old Dominion’s fourth full-length project Time, Tequila and Therapy. Recently receiving a nomination for Album of the Year at the 2022 Country Music Association Awards, it expands the band’s mark on today’s country

“I Was On A Boat That Day” is Old Dominion’s eighth Platinum-certified song. It continues their precious metal career as their two previous albums have received both Platinum and Gold certifications, as well as two other Gold-certified songs.

The surprise plaque presentation was made as the band was gearing up for Monday’s Whiskey Jam performance, where the band got their original start. They returned to Loser’s for Whiskey Jam, in part to celebrate the announcement of their 2023 NO BAD VIBES. Having spent this summer on the stadium portion of Kenny Chesney’s HERE AND NOW 2022 TOUR, they crowned the run with the Chesney collaboration “Beer With My Friends,” currently climbing the country charts.

Fans of the reigning, four-time CMA Vocal Group of the Year and five-time ACM Group of the Year can check out Old Dominion at one of their 30 NO BAD VIBES dates next year. Tickets go on-sale to the general public Friday, Oct. 28 at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America Also Awards D.C. Teen with $50,000 Scholarship, a Toyota Corolla, and a $5,000 Kohl’s Gift Card, During Star-Studded Annual “National Youth of the Year” Celebration

Last week at the Beverly Hills Hilton, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the nation’s leading youth non-profit organization, honored country music artist and Boys & Girls Clubs of America supporter, Kane Brown, with the “2022 Champion of Youth Award” in recognition of his commitment to serving young people. The Champion of Youth Award is bestowed to individuals for exhibiting above and beyond service to Boys & Girls Clubs. Previous recipients include NBA star Lebron James, entertainer Jennifer Lopez, Olympic champion Michael Phelps and the late former Secretary of State Colin Powell.

Other attendees and advocates included Emmy Award-winning actor Courtney B. Vance, Entertainment Tonight co-host Nischelle Turner, American singer and songwriter Miguel, WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil and The Miz and Oscar-award-winning costume designer and Boys & Girls Clubs alumna, Ruth Carter. Additionally, Asha H-R. was named its 2022-2023 National Youth of the Year in a star-studded 75th anniversary celebration ceremony, sponsored by Toyota, Kohl’s and Mondelēz International.

At nine years old, Asha quickly found a sense of community at her local Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, calling it her “chosen home” ever since. “My Club wasn’t just a safe, affordable after-school option for my parents, it opened up doors of possibility and shut the windows of my insecurities. The table was set, and I had a seat, not because of who I was, but because of who I was becoming,” she said.

Often being recognized for her outstanding work in leadership, volunteering and advocacy, she found a special passion for addressing the issue of food insecurity with local food pantries in the Washington D.C. community. In fact, in the last year, Asha served meals to over 400 families, reminding her that she can always make a local impact to global issues.  Aspiring to be the future President of the United States, Asha hopes to study public affairs and work closely with the D.C. Public School Board to address key issues in her local community and beyond.

Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program for Club teens. As the highest honor a Club member can receive, the National Youth of the Year represents Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the voices of over four million Club youth it serves. For 75 years, the Youth of the Year program has recognized young people for their outstanding leadership, service, academic excellence, and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle.

RCA Nashville Artist Corey Kent ‘Takes In The Moment’ And Releases “How You Know You Made It”

Listen Here

Hit Single “Wild As Her” Continues Its Rise With Over 136 Million Streams; RIAA Certified Gold Before Hitting Top 40 At Country Radio

Headlining Dates Through November

One of country music’s most exciting new acts and RCA Nashville/Sony Music Nashville signee, Corey Kent, relishes in the moment and releases “How You Know You Made It” (Listen Here).  The Jay Joyce produced track was written by Kent, AJ Prunis and Smith Ahnquist and showcases Kent’s signature heart and grit in both his lyrics and performance.

“I spent years trying to ‘make it’ in the music industry,” says Kent. “Trying to make a name for myself. Trying to make a dollar. I was newly married to my wife, just had our first baby girl and I was more focused on providing for her than being there for her.  I took for granted the things in life that really mattered.  I was so busy chasing a dream that I couldn’t see that I had THE DREAM right in front of me the whole time. Now after moving to Texas to be closer to family, working for a pavement company through COVID, and playing over a hundred shows in 2021, here we are with an unimaginable year of success. A lot of people are telling us we just might be the next big thing; that we are going to “make it.” And hell, maybe they’re right. Maybe it’s our time. But what they don’t know is…

I got a house that’s home.

I got a can that’s cold.

I got a hand to hold.

We already made it.”

See Full Lyrics here.

Kent’s explosive single, “Wild As Her,” captured the attention of audiences everywhere and continues to be one of the breakout songs of the year.  The track has garnered over 136 million on-demand streams and is RIAA certified Gold before even hitting the Top 40 at Country Radio.  The free-spirited and high-energy track landed Kent his first-ever entry onto the Billboard Hot 100, reached #15 on the Hot Country Songs Chart and is continuing to rise up the Country Radio charts. Watch the “Wild As Her” music video here.  Just last month, Kent released “Hood of That Car” which was written by Kent, Blake Chaffin, Jack Hummel, and Jacob Lutz, and produced by Chris Farren, listen here.

Kent is currently on the road headlining his own dates and making some stops at some festivals.  He just wrapped a string of sold out co-headlining dates with Bailey Zimmerman last week, For more information on the tour please visit: https://www.coreykentofficial.com/#tour.

LUKE COMBS’ WORLD TOUR BREAKS GLOBAL RECORDS, 37 OF 39 SHOWS SELL OUT IMMEDIATELY INCLUDING ALL SIXTEEN STADIUM DATES

ACHIEVES 14TH CONSECUTIVE #1 WITH “THE KIND OF LOVE WE MAKE,” #8 ON ALL-GENRE BILLBOARD HOT 100

In yet another unprecedented feat, country superstar and reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year Luke Combsimmediately sold out 37 of the 39 shows on his massive World Tour, including all sixteen of the North American stadium dates as well as the four new shows added in London, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane due to overwhelming demand.

The tour broke multiple records across the world including the fastest sell-outs ever at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium and St. Louis’ Busch Stadium as well as the fastest sell-out by a first time Gillette Stadium performer in any genre. It also ranks as one of the fastest selling arena tours ever by a country artist in the UK, while Combs is the first international artist to sell-out an Australian and New Zealand tour, which he did within just hours. The Stockholm show has also been moved to a larger venue (Avicii Arena) to accommodate ticket demand. See below for complete itinerary.

The tour is just the latest milestone for Combs, who recently achieved his record-breaking 14th-consecutive #1 with “The Kind of Love We Make,” which also reached #8 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart. Combs is also nominated for three awards at the 2022 CMA Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for his acclaimed new record, Growin’ Up. Out now via River House Artists/Columbia Nashville (stream/purchase here), Growin’ Up debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and follows 2019’s 3x Platinum What You See is What You Get and his 4x Platinum debut, This One’s For You.

Critical acclaim for Growin’ Up:

“one of country music’s biggest stars…He’s accomplished this not with virtuosic musical innovation, genre-crossing celebrity collaborations or by hosting a television singing competition, but by cranking out one irrepressibly catchy, widely relatable meat-and-potatoes country anthem after another.”
The New York Times

“an authentic creative force, capitalizing on his man-of-the-people status to release music that resonates with wide swaths of listeners…as an artist, he’s making his biggest strides yet”—Grammy.com

“He’s emerged as the field’s much-loved everyman with hits that country aficionados could not possibly resist”—The Wall Street Journal

“his detail-rich songs make Growin’ Up a big-time country album with a tip-jar-worthy intimacy”
Rolling Stone

“a superstar”—Billboard

“a superstar who is shaping the future of the genre while also serving as one of its fiercest defenders”
The Washington Post

“Take a voice that projects major-league virility but also vulnerability, sprinkle in some core-songwriting-team prowess with lyrical and musical hooks, and then most of all, don’t step on the agreeable, humble personality of somebody who—in contrast to a lot of the bro-country that’s been out there—seems like someone you wouldn’t mind having as an actual brother.”—Variety

“one of music’s mightiest voices and a hitmaking force arguably unlike any seen out of Nashville this century”—USA Today

“an uncharacteristically humble, down-to-earth, hardworking, fiercely loyal teddy bear of a country star…a true country-music behemoth”—Vulture

“Luke Combs isn’t just a country star…he made an excellent case for being a top-tier pop star, regardless of genre.”—The Tennessean

“Combs struts his usual guitar-heavy songs with a certain nuance”—American Songwriter

A member of the Grand Ole Opry and a 6x CMA, 3x ACM, 3x Billboard Music Award-winner, Combs is in the midst of a record-setting and historic series of years. His previous release, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get, debuted at #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart as well as Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. With the record Combs reached #1 on Rolling Stone’s Top 200 Albums chart, Top 100 Songs chart and Artists 500 chart—the first country artist ever to lead all three charts in the same week and first to top the Artists 500. He also made history as the first artist ever to have their first two studio albums spend 25 weeks or more at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart—breaking Taylor Swift’s previously held record at 24 weeks.
