JAMESON RODGERS RELEASES LUKE COMBS COLLABORATION “COLD BEER CALLING MY NAME”

Columbia Nashville/River House Artists rising star Jameson Rodgers has released a brand new track, “Cold Beer Calling My Name,” featuring his former tour mate Luke Combs. Listen here.

“It’s a fun, easy song, and I thought it’d be cool to have someone on it and at the time I was out with Luke Combs. I asked Luke if he’d like to sing on it – I know he’s a cold beer drinker like myself – and luckily it worked out and I’m excited for everybody to hear it,” Rodgers says of the track, which he co-wrote with Hunter Phelps, Brett Tyler, and Alysa Vanderheym.

Rodgers spent 2019 wowing sold-out crowds as an opener on Combs’ BEER NEVER BROKE MY HEART TOUR, earning his reputation as a “stellar performer” (Spokesman-Review). He plans to continue his own headlining GREW UP IN THE COUNTRY TOUR later this year.

Meanwhile, Rodgers’ debut single “Some Girls” continues to rise at country radio, entering the Top 30 this week. He’s also been keeping fans entertained with his weekly “Saturday Nights Live” series streaming on Facebook, recently hosting a 90’s Country tribute this past weekend (watch here).

RYAN HURD SHARES HIS “WISH FOR THE WORLD” WITH TOUCHING MUSIC VIDEO

Country star Ryan Hurd has debuted a sentimental new music video for “Wish for the World.” Watch here

“We closed every show on the Platonic Tour with ‘Wish for the World.’ It was one of my favorite moments from on stage, and something special to experience with each audience,” said Hurd. “Given what the world is experiencing right now, the song has taken on a new meaning and I wanted to share some of the love, friendship, and happiness we got to witness and absorb each night with anyone who needs a little more of it right now.”

Filmed over multiple stops on his headlining PLATONIC TOUR earlier this year, the video highlights the sense of community Hurd strives to create at every performance, as well as special moments shared amongst the crowds. Hurd co-wrote the “deeply personal and reflective” (Hollywood Life) track with Aaron Eshuis and Joe Clemmons.

“Wish for the World” is a fan-favorite standout track from Hurd’s 2019 Platonic EP, which “balances commercial viability with a very grounded and organic songwriting approach” (American Songwriter). Platonic also features Hurd’s Gold-certified Top 20 hit “To A T,” the title track, “Half Hoping,” and “Florida With a Girl.

MAREN MORRIS’ PLATINUM “THE BONES” GOES #1 ON HOT A.C. CHARTS

Grammy-winning artist Maren Morris tops Hot A.C. radio this week, with Platinum-certified “The Bones” going #1 on the Billboard Adult Pop Songs and Mediabase Hot A.C. charts, marking the longest ever climb to #1 on both charts at 45 weeks. In addition, “The Bones” remains in the Top 10 this week on the Country Aircheck chart nine weeks after reaching #1 for two consecutive weeks in February, which made it the first solo female back-to-back #1 since 2012.

In addition, her latest single “To Hell & Back” was the second most-added at country radio last week, with 41 first week stations.

2020 is off to an incredible start for Maren, who just welcomed her first child. “The Bones” is spending its fifth week at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. When the song first earned #1 on the chart in February—which followed the chart-topping stint of “Girl” last summer—it marked the first time since 2016 that a solo country female artist had two #1’s from the same album. “The Bones” was also #1 on SXM The Highway’s Hot 30 in July. In March, Maren received RIAA Gold certification for her critically lauded album GIRL, which shattered the record for the largest ever debut streaming week for a country album by a woman, with 23.96 million streams in its first week. In addition, Maren played her biggest show to date for more than 60,000 fans at the Houston Rodeo—watch her exclusive interview with Anthony Mason for CBS This Morninghere—and she leads the 2020 ACM Awards nominations this year with five nods including Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for GIRL.

Later this year Maren will embark on “RSVP: The Tour” throughout North America, including festival dates at Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience and Railbird Festival and headline stops in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Colorado’s storied Red Rocks Amphitheatre and many more. Supporting acts James Arthur, Ryan Hurd and Caitlyn Smith are confirmed for select dates. The tour kicks off in June.

TENILLE TOWNES DEBUTS NEW SONG “THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THINGS”

As emerging singer, songwriter and musician Tenille Townes releases her new song, “The Most Beautiful Things,” Sony Music Nashville announces a new partnership with RCA Records which will combine the efforts of RCA, Columbia Nashville and the SMN label group behind a global plan for Townes. Listen/share Tenille Townes’ “The Most Beautiful Things” HERE

In celebration of the release, Townes performed the song from her home last night as part of the official “ACM Presents: Our Country” pre-show. Watch the performance HERE.

Of the song, Townes shares, “We were all once a little kid, full of wonder and seeing the beauty in anything. We were unafraid to be ourselves, relentlessly willing to dream the craziest of dreams because we weren’t scared of failing, or of what anyone else thought. I hope this song helps people remember what that felt like. Holding on to the love we have for each other and the most beautiful things around us, even in hard times, is what keeps that feeling alive. It makes me so thankful to get to put out this song right now in the times we are in.”

As an additional symbol of support during these difficult times, Townes also released a special new performance video of Bill Withers’ iconic song, “Lean On Me,” last week. Recorded remotely from their homes, the video features performances from fellow country artists Abby Anderson, Kassi Ashton, Keelan Donovan, Alex Hall, Adam Hambrick and Caylee Hammack. Watch/share the video HERE

The video follows the release of Townes’ new EP, Road to the Lemonade Stand, which was released earlier this year on Columbia Nashville (stream/purchase here). With the EP, Townes is inviting fans to join her on the journey to her highly anticipated debut album, The Lemonade Stand. Produced by Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town), the EP features five songs written by Townes including her current single, “ Jersey On The Wall (I’m Just Asking),” which was recently Gold certified in Canada, as well as a rendition of Keith Urban’s “Stupid Boy.” Earlier this year, “Jersey” reached No. 1 on the BDS Canada and Mediabase Canada country radio charts, making it Townes’ second chart-topping single following her Canadian Platinum-certified “Somebody’s Daughter.” This accomplishment makes Townes the only female in Mediabase Canada history to achieve two No. 1 singles. Released to critical acclaim, Rolling Stone calls “Jersey,” “a stirring, full-bodied anthem about loss and faith,” while Taste of Country proclaims, “Townes continues to release music grounded in empathy…She aims for a higher brand of acclaim and satisfaction.”

Adding to a series of breakthrough years, Townes is nominated for two awards at the 55th ACM Awards: New Female Artist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” with Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Caylee Hammack and Elle King.

Canadian-born and Nashville-based, Townes is nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year at the 2020 Juno Awards and  recently won four awards at the 2019 Canadian Country Music Awards: Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year (“Somebody’s Daughter”), Anthem Entertainment Songwriter of the Year and Video of the Year (“Somebody’s Daughter”). Winning all four of her nominated categories, Townes lead the night with the most awards received. She is also a MusicRow 2020 Next Big Thing Artist, an iHeartCountry’s “On The Verge” artist and has been included in Amazon Music’s “2019 Artists To Watch,” CMT’s “Next Women of Country,” iHeart Radio’s “Artists To Watch in 2019,” “The Bobby Bones Show’s” “Class of 2019,” CMT’s “Listen Up” and the inaugural class of “Opry NextStage.” Townes is also included in the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum’s new American Currents: State of the Music exhibit and recently participated in Cracker Barrel’s “Five Decades, One Voice ” campaign—a project created to highlight the importance of women in country music by celebrating legendary female artists and those following in their footsteps. For the project, Townes was personally selected by Brandi Carlile to collaborate on new versions of two songs—Townes’ “Somebody’s Daughter” and Carlile’s “Fulton County Jane Doe.”

In addition to her work as a musician and songwriter, Townes remains committed to charitable causes including her own initiative, Big Hearts For Big Kids, which has raised over $1.9 million to date benefiting a youth shelter in her hometown of Grande Prairie, Alberta. OLD DOMINION UNVEIL MOVING VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “SOME PEOPLE DO”

Acclaimed 2-time CMA Vocal Group of the Year and 2-time ACM Group of the Year Old Dominion unveil their moving video for single “Some People Do .” The video was inspired by Jason Schneidman, celebrity men’s groomer, who also works with Old Dominion. Schneidman was previously homeless and, after overcoming drug addiction, turned his life around. In his spare time, he helps out the homeless of LA, providing haircuts as a means to connect with those who may be battling addiction issues, and funds scholarships to rehab centers. Back in early February 2020, the band joined him on the ground in Los Angeles to help out. The visuals, directed by Mason Allen, show the effect that if we all do a little, we can help out a lot.

Jason Schneidman’s Men’s Groomer Foundation is inspired by more than just a calling but the ability to help people get off the street and back on their feet. A haircut can change a person’s appearance, instill confidence and allow someone to reach for opportunities when they thought life had passed them by. The foundation seeks to help give second chances and helping anyone out who is willing to do the work. The foundation is working with rehabs in California providing funding through the sales of Schneidman’s products. For more information go to: https://themensgroomer.com/pages/the-mission

Some People Do” is Old Dominion’s newest single with currently over 24.5 million streams. The song is the latest track off Old Dominion’s self-titled third studio album, which was released in the fall of 2019. Old Dominion’s most recent single, “One Man Band ” went to No. 1 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA. With over 311.6 million streams, “One Man Band” marked the band’s 8th consecutive No. 1 and biggest song to date. Most recently, the band notably received eight ACM nominations, as well as Platinum and Gold certifications for 5 of their other hit songs: “Written in the Sand” (2x Platinum), “Break Up With Him” (2x Platinum), “Hotel Key” (Platinum), “Make It Sweet” (Gold) and “Nowhere Fast” (Gold).
