CHRIS YOUNG RELEASES RAUCOUS “RAISED ON COUNTRY” MUSIC VIDEO

Multi-Platinum entertainer and 11-time chart-topper Chris Young released the raucous music video for his latest hit, “Raised On Country,” today ahead of the kickoff of his headlining tour this spring. The full-tilt romp captures the vibrant energy of his live show and gives fans a preview of what they can expect on his 2019 “Raised On Country Tour,” kicking off May 16-18 in Alpharetta, GA, Charlotte, NC, and Bristow, VA.

Watch the video NOW.

Directed by Peter Zavadil (Joe Diffie “Prop Me Up Beside The Jukebox,” Pistol Annies “Got My Name Changed Back”), “Raised On Country” was filmed at a Nashville-area dive bar and the landmark WSM Radio Tower and features Young, along with two of his longtime bandmates, Kevin Collierand Ryan Haas, in the high-wattage video. Young, a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2017, was excited to film at the historic location built in 1932. At the time, the tower was the tallest in the world, and its 50,000 watts ensured the Opry could be heard on 650 AM-WSM from New York to California and parts of Mexico and Canada.

“As a member of the Opry, I was honored to be allowed to film ‘Raised On Country’ in and around the WSM Radio Tower and the same airwaves where songs from my musical icons have played over the years,” shared Young. “It was a long day and I had a lot of fun filming the video, even in the scenes where we had debris flying in our faces inside the studio.”

Young has “never been shy about his traditional country influence and spells it out in plain English,” (Rolling Stone Country) in his latest hit, “Raised On Country” — the song pays homage to his predecessors and country music icons Merle HaggardWillie NelsonJoe DiffieGeorge StraitAlan Jackson, and Hank Williams Jr. During his career thus far he has had the honor of recording with Willie Nelson – “Rose In Paradise” found on Young’s Platinum-certified The Man I Want To Be – and Alan Jackson – “There’s A New Kid In Town” found on Young’s first-ever holiday album It Must Be Christmas . He’s also had the opportunity to tour with both Alan Jackson and George Strait.

Tickets for Chris Young’s “Raised On Country Tour 2019,” promoted by Live Nation, are on sale now at ChrisYoungCountry.com. Fans can also purchase tickets now for select cities as part of Live Nation’s Country Megaticket at www.Megaticket.com and additional dates will continue to roll-out over the coming weeks.

SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE AND WME CELEBRATE WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH WITH ONE-NIGHT-ONLY CONCERT EVENT

Sony Music Nashville and WME partnered Monday night (3/11) to present a special one-night-only concert event celebrating Women’s History Month. Rising stars Carlton AndersonRobert CountsHannah DasherSeaforth, and Rachel Wammack performed powerful tributes to some of the most impactful artists in country music.

Taking the stage at City Winery in Nashville, Anderson put his spin on Barbara Mandrell’s “I Was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool” and Patty Loveless’ “You Don’t Even Know Who I Am.” Counts opened the show with a rousing take on Loretta Lynn’s “You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man)” and closed out the night with Miranda Lambert’s “The House That Built Me.” Dasher brought the sass on Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” and stopped the show with Reba McEntire’s “You Lie.” Another stunning moment paid homage to Parton when Seaforth and Wammack partnered for a haunting “Jolene.” The Australian duo later loaned their harmonies to Shania Twain’s “You’re Still The One,” and Wammack’s powerful vocals brought new air to Deana Carter’s “Strawberry Wine” and Trisha Yearwood’s/LeAnn Rimes’ “How Do I Live.”

Noted music journalists Ashley Eicher and Hunter Kelly, of the “All Our Favorite People” Podcast, hosted the night and had the crowd rolling in laughs.

Female students from Pearl-Cohn Entertainment Magnet High School’s Academy of Entertainment Industry were guests of SMN and WME with front row seats. The event raised $3,250 for She Is The Music, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating change for women and building an equal future for music through various programs and initiatives.

LUKE COMBS’ THIS ONE’S FOR YOU CERTIFIED DOUBLE PLATINUM

Luke Combs’ breakthrough debut album This One’s For You is now certified RIAA Double Platinum. Since it’s release June 2, 2017, the album has spent a total of 27 non-consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, including 16 weeks in 2018—making it the highest selling country album last year with 1.1 million equivalent album units sold and the only country album to surpass 1 million album units. It’s also the most-streamed country album of 2019 so far.

The milestone adds to an already impressive few days for Combs who, earlier this week, became the second artist ever to top all five Billboard Country charts: Top Country Albums, Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, Country Streaming Songs and Country Digital Song Sales (all dated March 9).

The success comes on the heels of Combs’ latest single, “Beautiful Crazy,” which remains No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay, Hot Country Songs, Country Streaming Songs and Country Digital Song Sales charts for the second straight week. This is his fastest-rising single to date (16 weeks) and makes Combs the first artist ever to send his first five singles to the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.  “Beautiful Crazy” is also the first country single shipped to radio already platinum-certified since Taylor Swift’s “Red” in 2013 and has more than 270 million on-demand streams. In celebration of these milestones, Combs recently released an acoustic version of the song. Listen/share HERE

Combs is nominated for two 2019 ACM Awards (Male Artist of the Year and New Male Artist of the Year), won New Artist of the Year at “The 52nd Annual CMA Awards,” was nominated for Best New Artist at the 61st GRAMMY Awards and who recently won a CMA Triple Play Award for writing three No. 1 songs in a 12-month period..

In continued support of the album, Combs is currently in the midst of his sold-out Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour — his first ever headline arena tour. Brooks & Dunn Heightens Excitement for Forthcoming REBOOT Sharing Feisty New Take on “Mama Don’t Get Dressed Up for Nothing” with LANCO Today

March 8, 2019 – The best-selling duo of all time Brooks & Dunn are continuing to preview their upcoming collaboration projectREBOOT out April 5, as a new song available today sees them team up with LANCO for the swagger-filled “Mama Don’t Get Dressed Up for Nothing,” available HERE.

LANCO’s Brandon Lancaster lays down his statement vocals alongside Brooks & Dunn, and offers a jangling new guitar lick on the track. Fans who pre-order REBOOT will instantly receive the new song along with “Brand New Man” with Luke Combs, “My Next Broken Heart” with Jon Pardi, and “Believe” with Kane Brown ahead of its release.

“We really wanted to do this track because it personifies that classic Brooks & Dunn, iconic sound,” said LANCO frontman Lancaster. “With that famous guitar riff too, it just felt like the perfect fun song with the honky-tonk feel and vibe that Brooks & Dunn put on the map. We’re proud to be a part of it.”

The duo also gave fans a sneak peek of another track on the nearing release this past weekend, taking to the stage as surprise guests during Kacey Musgraves‘ show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium to join her on “Neon Moon.” Proving the songs on the project thrive in today’s world, Musgraves’ inspired take builds on a dramatic, pulsating synth.

REBOOT will also see the duo team up with Brown, Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, Ashley McBryde, Brothers Osborne, Combs, Midland, Cody Johnson, Pardi, and Tyler Booth on 12 re-ignited versions of Brooks & Dunn’s biggest hits. The collection includes all-new arrangements of face-to-face collaborations ranging from edgy-rock intensity to heartbroken EDM, and from retro honky-tonk fun to the exposed nerves of a reflective acoustic ballad.

With 20 No. 1 hits stretching back to 1991, two Grammy awards, dozens of ACM and CMA honors, and a discography counting more album sales than any country duo in history – regardless of genre – Brooks & Dunn’s influence on today’s country has never been in question. Hits like “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “My Maria,” “Only in America,” and “Believe” have propelled the duo to more than 30 million albums sold, with the New York Times  heralding “together they helped drive the power-country era of the early-to-mid 1990s and continued to benefit from the sea change in the genre they helped initiate right through their most recent albums.” Their original “Merle Haggard meets The Rolling Stones” vibe made them progressive stars in their own right. In 2014, the duo announced their reunion along with long-time friend, Reba McEntire, for a residency called “Together in Vegas” at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, which received rave reviews and continues to be extended including more shows throughout this year. It was also just announced that a Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit on Brooks & Dunn will open Aug. 9. The museum’s exhibition will recall their early careers as solo artists and songwriters, the circumstances that united them as performers, and their innovative approach to stage production and touring.
