PISTOL ANNIES ARE BACK! TRIO RELEASES ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM INTERSTATE GOSPEL

Country supertrio PISTOL ANNIES have released today their anxiously-awaited third album INTERSTATE GOSPEL on RCA Records Nashville. Listen now on all streaming platforms and purchase the album here.

“We’ve grown a lot as artists and humans in the past five years,” the Annies stated. “This album is more mature than our last ones, but still fun. The best way to describe Interstate Gospel is that it sounds like three women came unleashed and told a bunch of truth. We didn’t hold back and we’re proud of it. Our hope is that when people listen, they feel some of the same magic that we felt when we were writing these songs.”

Watch the trio talk more about Interstate Gospel, along with behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the album, here.

Last night (11/1), the group celebrated the release with an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Watch their performance of “Best Years of My Life” here. Tune in this morning (11/2) to “Good Morning America” on ABC to catch their performance of “Got My Name Changed Back.”

Penned by the Pistol Annies, the 14-track album showcases the group’s stunning harmonies, such as the “classic country tearjerker” (Stereogum) “Masterpiece”; “sly take on gender roles” (Variety) “Sugar Daddy”; “saucy, high-spirited” (Rolling Stone) “Stop Drop and Roll One“; “more irreverent than earnest” (NPR) “Interstate Gospel”; and “confession of dead-end desperation” (New York Times) “Best Years of My Life.” Moving from celebratory anthems, classic country storytelling and vibey swagger, the Grammy-nominated trio are back and sounding Annie-er than ever.

The Pistol Annies’ very first single to go to Country Radio is “Got My Name Changed Back.” Fans should listen for it on their local radio stations. The fun-spirited music video for the single is out now. Watch it here.

Following last week’s sold-out show at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, the trio will perform a sold-out show tonight at NYC’s intimate venue The Town Hall and LA’s breakout downtown concert hall The Novo on Nov. 7. These shows are the Annies’ way of inviting their fans into their living room to hang, talk, laugh and commiserate about real life while singing their own kind of country music.

MITCHELL TENPENNY RELEASES INTROSPECTIVE ‘WALK LIKE HIM,” LATEST TRACK FROM “TELLING ALL MY SECRETS” ALBUM OUT 12/14

Shares Story Behind the Song Exclusively with People.com

Tenpenny’s Latest Track Available Now From Forthcoming Album, Telling All My Secrets, Due Dec. 14

Ahead of his debut Riser House/Columbia album Telling All My Secrets due everywhere on December 14, singer/songwriter Mitchell Tenpenny shares a new song, “Walk Like Him,” written by Tenpenny, Justin Ebach and Steven Dale Jones.

It took a long time for Tenpenny, who lost his father, Mitch, four years ago to a battle with cancer, to muster the words for “Walk Like Him.” It wasn’t until three years after his father passed that inspiration struck late one night driving his band’s van while everyone slept.

“It just hit me and I broke down that night. There was just something about the loneliness and everything, realizing that my dad’s not there,” the Nashville native revealed today exclusively to People.

Everyone in his family had always said Tenpenny walked like his dad. He took that idea beyond the physical to what it would mean to walk like his late father both mentally and spiritually, something the soulful singer continues to do every day.

The lyrics describe traits Tenpenny inherited from his father:
Mama says I walk like him
Feet at 10 and 2
My uncle says I talk like him
I get my point across the room
And if he were here today
He’d just laugh out loud they say
‘Cause he knew that his boy
Was just like him

So I cuss a little bit when the game’s on TV
Got Eagles in the truck in the truck on repeat
Know how to use a hammer and nail
Don’t whine about my problems
He was better at putting that bottle down
But I spend every day trying to make him proud
If I said that I did I’d be lying
But I’m trying to walk like him

Tenpenny found healing through writing the song and hopes listeners find comfort as well sharing with People, “hopefully [it will] help somebody else, to connect and say, ‘We’re all in this together.'”

Beyond his music, Tenpenny has found other avenues to help those facing the stress of a cancer journey. Earlier this year, he founded “The 10Penny Fund” to provide inspiration and support to cancer patients beyond traditional medical treatment. It was formed and designed to motivate patients, encourage healing and build a community of support like Tenpenny’s family found following his father’s diagnosis. More information on the fund can be found by visiting: www.cfmt.org/giving-and-investing/become-a-donor/give-to-a-fund/the-10penny-fund/.

Tenpenny’s own story is just beginning, with a new record deal and label catapulting his debut RIAA GOLD certified single, “Drunk Me,” which is Top 10-and-climbing at Country radio and has already amassed more than 90 million on-demand audio and video streams.

No stranger to the stage, the singer/songwriter has toured with Maren Morris, Jake Owen, Brett Young, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dustin Lynch and more. Tenpenny will join Old Dominion in 2019 for their Make It Sweet Tour.

LUKE COMBS’ “She Got The Best of Me” tops the Mediabase Country chart this week and returns to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Airplay chart for the second straight week. Moreover, Combs’ Platinum-certified debut album, This One’s For You, is back at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart this week. Since its release June 2, 2017—73 weeks ago—the album has spent a total of sixteen non-consecutive weeks at No. 1, including twelve weeks in 2018—the most of any album this year.

“She Got The Best of Me” is Combs’ fourth-consecutive No. 1 single—following 3x Platinum “Hurricane,” 2x Platinum “When It Rains It Pours” and Platinum “One Number Away”—which all appear on the deluxe version of This One’s For You, released on River House Artists/Columbia Nashville. Combs is nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the 2018 CMA Awards. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on ABC live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 14 at 8/7c.These milestones follow a hugely successful fall debut headline European tour, which sold out months in advance and saw Combs playing for over 12,000 fans across Birmingham, London (two nights), Glasgow, Manchester, Amsterdam and Berlin. In their recent cover story devoted to Combs, Maverick Magazine declares, “…it is with no exaggeration to say that he can currently be described as a country music superpower” and goes on to assert, “It’s by putting the crowd first that makes Combs such a big draw on the live circuit, and is another reason why his tickets in the U.K. have been like gold dust.”

Capping off the breakthrough years, Combs will embark on his largest North American headline tour in 2019—with 26 of the 28 venues already sold-out. The BEER NEVER BROKE MY HEART TOUR features sold-out performances at Greensboro, NC’s Greensboro Coliseum, Greenville, SC’s Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Columbus, OH’s Schottenstein Center, Charlottesville, VA’s John Paul Jones Arena, New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, Omaha, NE’s HI Health Center and Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre among many others.

This One’s For You was produced by Scott Moffatt (except for “One Number Away,” which was co-produced by Sammy Mitchell and Jackie Boyz) and recorded in Nashville, TN at Gold Cassette Studios and Direct Image Recording Studio.

Combs released the deluxe edition, This One’s For You Too, earlier this summer, which landed at No. 1 on Billboard Country Albums Chart and No. 4 on Billboard 200 Chart.
