Nashville, TN – Sony Music Nashville’s The Sisterhood Band made a special appearanace at global superstar Rod Stewart’s Bridgestone Arena concert in Nashville Wednesday evening before a capacity crowd. The duo is comprised of headiner Stewart’s daughter Ruby and Alyssa Bonagura who is the daughter of Kathie Baillie and Michael Bonagura who fronted RCA country band Baillie and the Boys in the late 1980s and early 90s.
The Sisterhood Band first collaborated with Cyndi Lauper during her concert opening set on “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.” Next, Rod Stewart’s band backed the duo on “Half Way,” a co-penned song featured on their newly released Sony Music Nashville debut Summer Setlist. Finally, the two joined Rod Stewart on the classic hit, “Forever Young.”
Raised on the road with an obsessive passion for music and the mavericks who create it, Stewart and Bonagura found kindred spirits in each other and their shared devotion to folk legend Joni Mitchell. Abandoning solo careers, they bonded as songwriters and created a distinct, compelling sound as The Sisterhood Band. Their Summer Setlist, a collection of lilting, reflective, authentic and affirming songs about life and living it beyond rules and expectations, is available HERE.
The Sisterhood Band returns to Steven Tyler’s Summer Tour for the final show at the O2 Forum in London on August 7. The duo’s Summer Setlist was inspired by this tour.
