This week multifaceted entertainer Kane Brown played his first ever headlining date at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena with a hit-packed sold-out show on Friday, (3/31) before heading to Austin to co-host the 2023 CMT Awards on Sunday (4/2). The returning host arrived to the 2023 CMT’s as a 3X nominee, while wife, Katelyn Brown, earned her first ever CMT nomination.  Both took home the biggest award of the night, Video of the Year, for their hit multi-week #1, “Thank God,” where Kane and Katelyn made history as the first ever married couple to win the award.

Kicking off with  first ever sold out headlining run at Bridgestone Arena, Brown debuted a new jam-packed set list and production as a part of his current Drunk or Dreaming Tour, and later in the evening brought out wife Katelyn to perform their now Platinum-certified #1 single, “Thank God.” Earlier in the night Kane and Katelyn were surprised with plaques for their newly certified Platinum single, as well as the official recognition of Brown’s current album, Different Man, as Gold-certified. 

On Sunday, Brown’s fourth time hosting the CMT Awards was met with rave reviews and ratings for the star, who later took to the stage to accept the Video of the Year award with Katelyn and video director, Alex Alvga,after celebrating the national television debut performance of “Thank God” on the CMT Award outdoor stage in Austin. 

Later this week the multi-platinum country artist and Time 100 recipient will appear on the April 7 episode of the hit CBS shot, Fire Country, where he will officially make his national acting debut. Brown shared with Hollywood Reporter, how cool it was “to be a part of [this] for my first time, especially the character.”
