KAMERON MARLOWE’S “TENNESSEE DON’T MIND”: A LOVE LETTER TO LIFE ON THE ROAD

KAMERON MARLOWE’S “TENNESSEE DON’T MIND”: A LOVE LETTER TO LIFE ON THE ROAD

The video highlights the juxtaposition of a fast-paced, high-energy life on the road, with the solitude that follows returning home Marlowe’s 13-stop headlining I Can Lie Tour continues nationwide

Columbia Nashville/Sony Music Nashville’s standout Country star Kameron Marlowe brings his “signature smoky voice”(Grammy.com) to the forefront with his new single, “Tennessee Don’t Mind,” available everywhere now. Written by Charles Kelly and Daniel Tashian, the gritty track with a wild frontier-like instrumentation takes you on a cinematic journey through Marlowe’s push and pull relationship with the place he calls home.

WATCH: “TENNESSEE DON’T MIND” MUSIC VIDEO

“To me, Tennessee in this instance really represents Music City,” admits Marlowe. “There is a give and take with chasing this dream, and the past two years have been a whirlwind. There’s a lot of ‘life’ we miss out on being on the road – something no one prepares you for. I feel the most at home on the road and sometimes that’s the scary part. The music just consumes you and sometimes it’s hard to get out of your own head.”

Resonating like a woman who holds a man’s heart in her hands, the enduring pull of Tennessee remains steadfast to Marlowe, echoing a feeling often seen by artists who commit their lives to music. Nashville’s unwavering allure continues to draw him back time and time again, despite all the sacrifice and hardships that come along with chasing a career on the road as his “gravelly vocal” (Billboard) and rip-roaring fiddle lead the way.

The new single ushers in Marlowe’s next chapter of music, accompanied by a music video shot on his bus with his long-time band who all hail from his home state of North Carolina. As they head out of Nashville during the dead of night, the video highlights the complexities of life on the road and all the highs and lows that come with it. From the thrill of fans cheering your name and echoing lyrics back to you, to the video’s end as Marlowe faces the stark reality and isolating feelings that creep in when the stage lights dim.

Known to be one of the most recognizable voices in the format, Marlowe signed to Columbia Nashville/Sony Music Nashville as a result of the success of his Platinum-certified hit, “Giving You Up,” and has since garnered over 680M+ on demand streams to date. Just last month, Marlowe featured on Megan Moroney’s deluxe album with the soul-stirring duet, “Fix You Too.”

Earlier this year, Marlowe graced the stage on tour with Luke Bryan and Jordan Davis and has now embarked on his 13-stop headlining I Can Lie Tour with special guests Elvie Shane, James McNair and Matt Schuster. Tapped as an artist on the rise by Opry’s NextStage program and CMT’s Listen Up class, 2023 has proved to be a year like never before.

Keep up with Marlowe on FacebookTwitterInstagramYouTube and TikTok and visit KameronMarlowe.com for tour dates and more information.

ABOUT KAMERON MARLOWE:

Fusing steel-toed toughness with a visceral approach to songwriting, Kameron Marlowe’s sound is built around edgy electric twang, smoldering shades of gritty rock and a touch of bluesy tenderness, living comfortably in the darker corners of the honky tonk.

Launching onto the music scene with unstoppable momentum fueled by his Platinum-certified debut release “Giving You Up,” Marlowe delivered his debut album We Were Cowboys, in 2022 produced by Dann Huff. The critically acclaimed collection includes Platinum-certified debut release “Giving You Up” and Gold-certified hit “Burn ‘Em All,” was one of 2022’s top streaming country albums on Spotify, and named one of the year’s best by Raised Rowdy and Entertainment Focus. Named to CMT’s 2023 Listen Up class of exciting new talent and the Opry NextStage program, Marlowe was also previously highlighted as One to Watch by Amazon Music, Pandora, Spotify, and more than a dozen media outlets. Now, Marlowe begins his sophomore chapter of music with “Tennessee Don’t Mind,” an ode to the complex intersection of a life on the road full of fans screaming your name, and the quiet solitude of returning home. The single that showcases the North Carolina native’s “gravelly voice” (Billboard) drops as Marlowe’s headlining I CAN LIE TOUR continues nationwide, following recent tours with Luke Bryan and Jordan Davis earlier this year. Marlowe heads into 2024 with more live shows and new music announcing soon, visit kameronmarlowe.com for updates and to stay connected.

KARLEY SCOTT COLLINS REVEALS THAT NOT ALL DIAMONDS LEAD TO HAPPILY EVER AFTER IN NEW TRACK “HEAVY METAL”

KARLEY SCOTT COLLINS REVEALS THAT NOT ALL DIAMONDS LEAD TO HAPPILY EVER AFTER IN NEW TRACK “HEAVY METAL”

OUT NOW

Singer-songwriter Karley Scott Collins puts the “real in reality” with the release of the haunting and honest track, “Heavy Metal.” Listen here.

Using her artistry and soulful grit, Collins sheds light on the heart-wrenching truths of a woman settling in a broken marriage. What was once a symbol of commitment, love, and promises quickly turns into a “Heavy Metal” weighing her down.

She’s lying to herself / Saying she’s fine / But she’s crying on the bathroom floor / That rock on her left hand’s weighing her down / But I guess she’ll settle / Wearing heavy metal”

“‘Heavy Metal’ is absolutely the most specific and personal song I’ve written and released to this point,” shared Collins. “One Wednesday afternoon a few months ago, one of my closest friends FaceTimed me in tears, sitting in her living room with a bottle of wine because her husband had done something selfish again, and it wasn’t the first time I’d gotten that call. She married someone too young, that she didn’t know well enough yet, and she felt alone – and it was really difficult to watch someone I love feel that way. I’ve seen the good side of marriage from my parents, but I’ve also seen the bad side through my friend, and some of my family, and I wanted to write about that because I think some people needed to hear that they’re not alone in what they’re going through.”

The track focuses on its strong lyrics, where Collins’ searing vocal stands strong against stark instrumentation. Collins shares producer credits with Nathan Chapman.

“We recorded a more rock version, and when it was finished, we went back in and stripped it all to the basics. ‘Less is more’ definitely meant a lot with this one, and putting the focus on the words and the story was the most important thing,” she said.

The release caps off a busy year for the songstress—from making her CMA Fest debut to touring with Larry Fleet, Collins has forged a path with a bright future ahead. Keep up with Collins on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and her website to learn more about her upcoming plans for 2024.

ABOUT KARLEY SCOTT COLLINS:

When Karley Scott Collins moved to Nashville from her hometown of Lake City, Fla., she arrived armed with her words – turns of phrase she’d fallen in love with, stories told to her by friends and family, and lyrics she’d jotted down in notebooks since she was 12. It’s Karley’s rich and emotionally soulful voice – an instrument that toes the line between wide-eyed wonder and world-weary knowledge – that anchors their messages. At their focal points, her songs are wrapped in lush instrumentation, neatly folding in her myriad musical influences like The Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Leonard Cohen, and Willie Nelson. Backed by Warner Chappell Publishing and Sony Nashville, her debut releases, “Heavenly” and “Tattoos,” struck a chord with critics upon release last year. Now that her debut collection Hands on the Wheel has been released, Karley has revealed a deeper look into her story and her ability to connect her past influences with her fresh take on Country music.

The chorus gives some insight into how our relationship started & the verses consist of a bunch of little things I’ve learned about her over the years that make me fall more in love her as time goes on. Didn’t have to use my imagination to embellish a single thing. Just had to study her over the years & write it all down.”

Earlier this year, Kent released his major label debut album, BLACKTOP. The project features Kent’s #1 certified platinum single “Wild As Her,” which has amassed over 375 million streams and helped garner a nomination for Breakthrough Male Video of the Year at the 2023 CMT Awards as well as a People’s Country Choice Award nomination for New Artist of 2023.

DYLAN MARLOWE TEAMS UP WITH DYLAN SCOTT ON NEW TRACK, “BOYS BACK HOME,” OUT NOW

ANNOUNCES HEADLINE DIRT ROAD WHEN I DIE TOUR FOR 2024

MARLOWE SET TO OPEN FOR HARDY TONIGHT IN NASHVILLE AS PART OF THREE NIGHT RUN IN MUSIC CITY

Rising singer-songwriter Dylan Marlowe debuted his latest track today, “Boys Back Home.” Marlowe enlisted his friend and former tourmate, Dylan Scott, to join him on the track. Listen here.

“I wrote ‘Boys Back Home’ with Joe Fox and Seth Ennis because I got homesick when I moved to Nashville and missed all of my friends back home,” Marlowe said. “Dylan Scott took me on my first tour and I ended up showing him the song on the road. He loved it and I ended up asking him to sing on it with me. A year and a half in the making and I’m excited for the fans to finally have it!”

Last week, Marlowe announced his headlining DIRT ROAD WHEN I DIE TOUR for 2024. The tour will kick off in Mobile, AL on February 1. Marlowe has only announced dates for the first two weekends of the tour so far, with plans to surprise fans with the additional cities he’ll be stopping by later on.

The songsmith is currently touring alongside HARDY on his the mockingbird and THE CROW FALL TOUR with Lainey Wilson. Marlowe will open for HARDY tonight at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium as part of their three-night run in Music City, which began last night. He has also recently toured with Jordan Davis and Scotty McCreery and will open a show for Morgan Wallen this fall.

Named one of Spotify’s 2023 Hot Country Artists to Watch, Marlowe shared his debut EP Dirt Road When I Die this summer. Billboard noted that the project “ranges from banjo-flecked country to headbanger tones with tight, edgy harmonies certifying his country roots.” Dirt Road When I Die features the soaring title track plus “You Were Right (Nat’s Song),” which Marlowe released as a surprise for his now-wife on their wedding day in May. Country Now lauded his “raw, consoling vocals” on the song, noting that the “elegant piano melody takes the ballad to new heights.” Another buzzworthy song on the project,“Record High,” was praised by MusicRow as “Moody and haunting. The soundscape ripples with dobro, muted percussion and chimed electronics. His broken-hearted delivery aches with sincerity. Excellent work.”

In addition to releasing his debut EP, the year of firsts continued with Marlowe making his Grand Ole Opry debut this summer. For more updates on Marlowe, visit DylanMarloweMusic.com.

About Dylan Marlowe

Statesboro, Georgia native Dylan Marlowe is Nashville’s newest rising star on the country music scene, where he comes likely wearing camouflage and an audible smile, equipped with a sound that blends traditional country themes with a touch of rock. Dylan found his way to Nashville just before the start of the pandemic but made lemonade from lemons, filling his days with songwriting, networking, and finetuning his craft. After Dylan shared a performance of his countrified rewrite of the Olivia Rodrigo hit “Driver’s License” to social media, people really started paying attention. The clip immediately quadrupled his TikTok following and has racked up over a million views on YouTube to date. The enthusiasm surrounding the track prompted him to release it to streaming services, followed by his own infectious tunes like “All About It” and “I’ll Keep The Country.” Meanwhile, the hustler was lending his penmanship to other artists as well, earning him his first No. 1 as a songwriter for Jon Pardi’s “Last Night Lonely.”

The Spotify Hot Country Artist to Watch for 2023 burst into the year with “arguably his best work yet” (Outsider), “Record High.” MusicRow deemed the explosive new track “Moody and haunting…His broken-hearted delivery aches with sincerity. Excellent work.” The track was part of his debut EP, Dirt Road When I Die, which he released this summer.Dylan appear on select tour dates with Jordan Davis and Scotty McCreery this past summer and is currently on the road with HARDY on his “the mockingbird and THE CROW” tour this fall, along with Lainey Wilson. Drawing from influences like Kenny Chesney, Eric Church and Cody Johnson, Dylan is carving out his own creative niche that he’s filling with music that fans will readily identify with the name Dylan Marlowe.

BMI’S CHRIS YOUNG AND MITCHELL TENPENNY CELEBRATE GOLD-CERTIFIED,CHART-TOPPING COLLABORATION,“AT THE END OF A BAR”

Multi-platinum, global entertainer Chris Young (RCA Nashville/Sony Music Nashville) and platinum selling artist Mitchell Tenpenny (Riser House/Columbia Nashville/Sony Music Nashville) spent yesterday with industry friends and family celebrating their “booming duet” (Tennessean), the 2022 chart-topping single, “At The End Of A Bar.” Hosted by BMI and ASCAP, the pair were also surprised with a plaque commemorating its R.I.A.A. Gold certification. Sponsored by Studio Bank, the evening highlights included a donation presentation made by Ron Cox on behalf of Young, Tenpenny and the songwriters in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a pediatric hospital located in Memphis, Tennessee, that supports research initiatives and provides healthcare support for children in need.

“At The End Of A Bar” hit No. 1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Country Aircheck/Mediabase charts the week of August 22, 2022 and is found on Young’s Famous Friends (Deluxe Edition). The song marks Young’s 13th career No.1 single as an artist and his 11th No. 1 as a songwriter and is included among Tenpenny’s three No. 1 singles as an artist and songwriter. Young (BMI), Tenpenny (BMI) and Chris DeStefano (ASCAP) wrote “At The End Of A Bar” in February 2021 during a Nashville snowstorm when most of the city was shut down and the three returned to Loser’s Nashville, the location that inspired their writing session, for yesterday’s winning celebration.

Young’s recently released “Young Love & Saturday Nights” is rising on the country radio airplay and streaming charts and will be found on his new album expected in 2024. Tenpenny’s “We Got History” single is inside the Top 20 and climbing.

Tickets for most shows go on sale Friday, Oct. 20 at 10am local time. Smith’s fan club presale will begin Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 10am local time. Fans can also purchase VIP Packages, which may include premium tickets, Meet & Greet and photo opportunities with Smith, autographed posters and more. Smith spent the summer touring with Thomas Rhett and will hit the road this fall with Cole Swindell. Following his headline tour next year, Smith will join Morgan Wallen for his ONE NIGHT AT A TIME 2024 tour. He will open for Wallen in stadiums across the country, including stops in Arlington (TX), Charlotte, Denver, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Nashville, Oxford (MS) and Tampa. Smith will also return to Stagecoach next year after his debut appearance at the festival this year.

Following his Platinum-certified, multi-week No. 1 hit “Whiskey On You,” Smith’s current single “World On Fire” has reached Top 20 at country radio. With over 80 million global streams to date, the breakup hit is one of 26 tracks on Smith’s self-titled album / deluxe version released on April 28. Upon its release, the project achieved the largest album debut from a new artist this year (2023), as well as the largest full length album debut from a new artist since 2020. The album hit #6 on Billboard’s Country albums chart and #30 overall on the Billboard Top 200. Nate Smith also includes RIAA Gold-certified hits “Wreckage” and “Under My Skin.”

Press raved about the album, with The Tennessean sharing that it “lends itself well to country’s radio-ready expectations, but also is so well-delivered that it explodes them, too… Smith’s vocal is a flexible instrument that is so genuinely powerful that, aided by intentional musicianship, it achieves songs that feel familiar in a heart-warming and instantly connective manner.” Billboard lauded his “formidable, rangy and raw vocal power” while Holler noted that his range bears “resemblance to country legend Vince Gill, whose vocal control could cause fainting spells three states over,” adding that “this is Smith’s superpower.”

Smith, who is known for his “strong voice that grips a lyric with ferocity” (Billboard), was nominated for NEW MALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR at the 58th ACM Awards in addition to his 2023 CMT Awards nomination for BREAKTHROUGH MALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR for his smash single “Whiskey On You.”

Featuring a mix of gritty backwoods soul, rock ‘n’ roll swagger and velvet-thunder vocals, Nate Smith’s personal journey inspired him to be a beacon of country-music hope, an inspirational mission he puts front-and-center. A California native, former worship leader, and lifelong music lover, Smith approaches that mission with a background as eclectic as it gets. Learning guitar at 13, Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley and Bob Seger were among those informing his powerful, fire-from-within vocals, while Michael Jackson made him crave the spotlight and Nirvana gave his sound a jagged edge. In 2018, Smith lost everything he owned in the devastating Camp Fire which tore through Paradise, California, now known as the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in the state’s history. Although his family was safe, he struggled to cope and turned back to music, hoping that it would help comfort himself and others. Help it did, inspiring a month-long road trip across the U.S. to Music City, writing music and playing dive bars along the way.

Since making it to Nashville, the singer’s “powerhouse tenor” has become “perhaps country music’s fastest-rising beloved voice” (The Tennessean). He’s made a huge splash with songs such as his Platinum-certified multi-week No. 1 hit “Whiskey On You,” which was lauded as the “breakup song of the summer” by Country Now and “an enormously satisfying country kiss-off anthem” by Stereogum. “Whiskey On You” amassed over 7.5 million total global on-demand streams in its first week, reaching No. 10 on the Country On-Demand Streaming Chart. The smash hit has racked up over 380 million total global on-demand streams to date. Nate released his debut, self-titled album along with the deluxe version on April 28. The hefty 26-song project hit #6 on Billboard’s Country album charts and #30 on the Billboard Top 200. His latest single off the album, “World On Fire,” is impacting country radio now. The CMT Awards and ACM Awards nominee is currently on tour with Thomas Rhett and will hit the road with Cole Swindell this fall. Nate is managed by Kevin “Chief” Zaruk and Simon Tikhman with The Core Entertainment.
