Tenpenny Premieres Brand New Amazon Original Cover of Tim McGraw’s “Just to See You Smile” Today,

Only Available on Amazon Music

Riser House/Columbia Nashville’s Mitchell Tenpenny is celebrating his first RIAA Gold-certified single, as the Top 15 debut hit “Drunk Me” has surpassed 500,000 units of downloads and streams in the U.S.

“This is something I’ve always dreamed about,” said Tenpenny. “I have the best team and fans in the world! Thank y’all for being a huge part in this ride!”

It’s his unique perspective that has Billboard predicting Tenpenny’s breakout success in 2018, noting, “Whether it’s the desperation in ‘Drunk Me,’ the acidic revenge in ‘Bitches’ or the lack of self-control in ‘Alcohol You Later,’ he approaches a microphone with a biting ferocity,” and has Taste of Country opining, “Tenpenny doesn’t just write — he builds songs.”

Tenpenny wrote 56 songs for his first full album expected later this year, having since narrowed it down to what will become his first major label release.

Today, Tenpenny is also premiering a brand new Amazon Original cover of Tim McGraw’s hit “Just to See You Smile” available to stream now, only on Amazon Music. Listen to the song, featured on Amazon Music’s Introducing: Country playlist HERE. TENILLE TOWNES’ “SOMEBODY’S DAUGHTER” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERES

TENILLE TOWNES’ official music video for her first single, “Somebody’s Daughter,” premieres today—watch/share here. The song, which is also making its official impact at Country radio today, is from her forthcoming full-length debut album—produced by Jay Joyce—and set for release in 2019 on Columbia Nashville. Listen to “Somebody’s Daughter” here.

Of the song and video, Townes shares, “It makes me so happy to have this video out in the world, telling a visual story of this song with a message that is so important to me. My hope is for people to feel empowered to recognize those around us. We’ve all got a story and something we’re working through and I believe the little things count. There’s a lot we can learn from a kid at a lemonade stand.”

An alternative acoustic version of the song also appears on Townes’ recently released Living Room Worktapes EP. Released earlier this year to widespread critical acclaim, Rolling Stone calls it, “…a stripped-down introduction to an artist with a whole lot to say,” while Billboard furthers, “Her Living Room Worktapes EP is a piece of art! Her unique voice and storytelling sets her apart…you’ll have it on repeat.” Additionally, Townes is the subject of an in-depth profile at NPR Music’s The Record. Calling her “Nashville’s Newest Voice,” writer Jewly Hight gives a rare glimpse into the early stages of Townes’ burgeoning career and asserts, “…she’s an heir to Twain and Swift, Griffin and McKenna alike, as well as a potential peer to figures like Morris and Musgraves, who’ve built significant followings and visibility with strong, self-written material…” Read the full profile here.

After recently wrapping an extended run as part of Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town’s Bandwagon Tour, Townes will soon travel to the U.K. for a series of fall shows as part of the CMA Songwriters Series before returning to the U.S. in November. See below for full tour details.

Canadian-born and Nashville-based, Townes first made her public appearance at age nine alongside Shania Twain after being invited to sing on stage at a concert she attended with her parents. In addition to her work as a musician and songwriter, Townes remains committed to charitable causes including her own initiative, Big Hearts For Big Kids, which has raised over $1.5 million to date benefiting a youth shelter in her hometown of Grande Prairie, Alberta. LEON BRIDGES AND LUKE COMBS RELEASE AUDIO FROM THEIR BREAKOUT “CMT CROSSROADS” PERFORMANCE

Grammy-nominated R&B artist and songwriter LEON BRIDGES and CMA-nominated global breakthrough Country musician LUKE COMBS have released live, collaborative versions of Bridges’ “Beyond” and Combs’ “Beautiful Crazy” from their “CMT Crossroads” performance. Listen to “Beyond” featuring Luke Combs here; listen to “Beautiful Crazy” featuring Leon Bridges here.

Earlier this year Leon and Luke gathered in downtown Nashville for a special outdoor “CMT Crossroads” performance in front of a live audience. In this distinctive collaboration, Combs and Bridges united from opposite ends of the musical spectrum under the umbrella of their breakout sounds, critically-acclaimed music and prolific songwriting. The show later aired on CMT on June 28 and featured chart-topping hits as well as new songs from both critically-acclaimed artists. Although the show is available for online viewing, this is the first time the audio is available for streaming and purchase.

Says Leon, “I loved working with Luke. He has a great voice, amazing songs and made me feel so welcome. I’m happy to be able to share this different version of ‘Beyond’ as Luke brought so much to it, as well as get to appear on ‘Beautiful Crazy.’ Psyched to hear them all over again!”

Luke shared, “Leon is one of those artists that is changing the game. His showmanship and connection to his songs and fans is truly awesome. Getting to sing ‘Beyond’ with him and his band was a highlight for me and ‘Beautiful Crazy’ is dynamite with him. The best part of this is now having him as a friend.”

Leon Bridges is a two-time Grammy-nominated R&B artist and songwriter from Fort Worth, TX. Bridges’ early work on the open mic circuit prompted comparisons to legends like Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, but he quickly came into his own as a Top 10, multiple Grammy-nominated, globally touring artist. His debut album, COMING HOME, debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Top 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA. In May 2018, Leon released his sophomore album Good Thingglobally via Columbia Records. Critics heralded Good Thing for its modern R&B sound, lush production and joyous songwriting.

Luke Combs is a multi-platinum No. 1 Country singer-songwriter from Asheville, NC. With brazen songwriting talent and grizzled, soul-infused vocals, Combs stormed onto the music landscape as one of Country’s brightest stars with the release of his critically-acclaimed, RIAA Platinum, No. 1 debut album, This One’s For You, on River House Artists/Columbia Nashville. Celebrated for its lyrical fortitude and modern traditionalist bravado, the project has spurred three consecutive No. 1 hits: “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours” and “One Number Away.” Combs has since released This One’s For You Too , a 17-track expanded collection of his celebrated debut project. The road warrior recently confirmed the 2019 “Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour” — his first headline arena tour, which sold out venues in 23 out of the 28 cities in the first weekend on sale. Combs also recently earned two nominations at the 2018 CMA Awards for Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year and, most recently, a nomination for Favorite Album—Country at the 2018 American Music Awards.

“CMT Crossroads” debuted Jan. 13, 2002 with Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams and since has showcased dream musical partnerships including Kid Rock and Hank Williams, Jr.; Ray Charles and Travis Tritt; Dave Matthews and Emmylou Harris; Bon Jovi and Sugarland; Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire; Def Leppard and Taylor Swift; Sting and Vince Gill; John Mayer and Keith Urban; Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood; Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum; Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves; Alicia Keys and Maren Morris; the Backstreet Boys and Florida Georgia Line; and Kesha and Old Crow Medicine Show to name a few.
